Very few people can say that they have been 150ft high overlooking the whole of Morpeth town, Northumberland…. Well three months today, you could well be doing that!

On Sunday 9th March, Emma Bunting and Flawless Weddings & Events will be hosting the third annual Morpeth Town Oxfam Charity Day. Due to popular demand, we are running a zip wire again (last year was phenomenal) for up to 150 people, at the Morpeth Rugby Club.

Zipping from a mobile crane 150ft up in the sky is really a terrifying, but exilerating feeling – I had a mixture of total fear mixed with “I want to do that again!!!” – It is like going on a thrilling ride at a theme park – but without all the queuing.  The day itself is set to be a really fun filled family day with lots of activites, stalls and food & drink so that everyone (including the zippers) has a good day!

Why are we doing this? Well, I am personal passionate about raising money for Oxfam for their Get Together campaign celebrating International Women’s Day, which raises money for women and children throughout the world living in poverty. I’m about to see for myself first hand just how our Oxfam money is being used, and to see just who important these fundraising events are to children living in rural areas of Liberia – one of the world’s poorest countries. I think it will be a real eye opener, and quite emotional difficult to deal with, but I think it’s important to see that by us having fun here in Morpeth, the money raised can actually save someone’s life. To me, that is just remarkable.

How can you help save someone’s life? Easy….

1. Sign up to our Zip Wire, on Sunday 9th March 2014 at the Morpeth Rugby Club

2. Complete a Booking Form and pay the entrance fee of £25 and give to Emma or Ailsa (at Emma Bunting/Flawless Weddings & Events 36 Newgate Street, Morpeth)

3. Using our sponsorship form, start collecting sponsorship money – minimum of £75 per person

4. Come with all your family and friends on 9th March and enjoy the day

We need between 100-150 people to zip, so please email me if you want to get involved hello@emma-bunting.co.uk. We are also looking for business sponsors to help pay for our £4000 costs, and/or to donate prizes for our Tombolla and our Raffle. If you know of someone who can help, please let me know!

Minimum age 14. Maximum weight 17stone.
